Terms and conditions
These terms apply to the use of co-founder.net and to services paid with credits. The provider is Techfunder World AG, Industriestrasse 9, 6302 Zug, Switzerland (imprint).
1. For professional purposes only
Our offer is directed at founders, startups, businesses and people who want to start or join a company as part of a professional or entrepreneurial activity, not at consumers.
2. Profiles and introductions
Profiles summarise what people wrote publicly; their availability and details may have changed. We arrange introductions but do not owe a result: whether a person answers, agrees to an introduction or starts a company with you is their own decision. Any agreement on founding, equity or pay is made directly between you and the other side; we are not a party to it.
3. Startup listings
The listings come from public sources. We are not connected with the startups and give no guarantee that a listing is complete, correct or that the search is still open. Check startups and people yourself before you commit to anything.
4. Account and credits
You keep your details up to date and your private account link confidential; anyone who has it can use your credits. We may block an account in case of misuse.
Credits are bought in packs through Stripe and added to your account after payment. They can only be used for the services listed below; the cost is shown before you confirm. Credits are not money: they carry no interest, cannot be transferred to another account and are not paid out, except under section 6. Credits do not expire.
Current packs:
- 100 credits: €100 / $115
- 550 credits: €500 / $575
- 2400 credits: €2,000 / $2,300
5. Services paid with credits
- Startup details (25 credits): name, website (where known), link to the source and the quote we checked appear at once and stay unlocked.
- Startup alerts (10 credits per e-mail): at most one e-mail a week, only when new matching startups exist.
- Co-founder shortlist (290 credits): people who fit your brief, with role, skills, availability and why each one fits; target: within 2 working days.
- Warm introduction (60 credits): we forward your pitch to the person you chose within 3 working days and connect you if they agree.
- Priority introductions (50 credits): your intro list handled; target: within 1 working day.
Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in Switzerland.
6. Refunds
If we cannot deliver an ordered service, the credits are returned to your account. Unused credits are refunded to the original payment method if you ask within 14 days of the purchase. Used credits are not refunded.
7. Prices and payment
The prices shown at purchase apply, in EUR or USD. Stripe processes the payment, and you receive an invoice by e-mail. Taxes are charged where they apply.
8. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence. Otherwise our liability is excluded as far as legally permitted, and in any case limited to the amount you paid for the service concerned.
9. Data protection
How we process data is described in the privacy policy.
10. Changes
We may change these terms and publish the new version here. Credits already bought remain subject to the terms in force at the time of purchase.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
Swiss law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). The place of jurisdiction is Zug, Switzerland.
